Invoices and quotes

Turning a priced takeoff into a document you can send, with totals, tax and markup.

The same quantities that export as a spreadsheet can go out as a document addressed to someone:

An invoice bills a client for work.
A quote requests a price from a vendor.

Both are produced from the export dialog rather than from a separate module, so the numbers are the takeoff's own and cannot drift from it.

Your company details

Edit Company Profile holds the details that appear on every document: the company, and a contact and email. Set it once.

Each document then carries its own Number and Date.

Totals

Adjustments apply on top of the priced lines, and the dialog shows their effect before you export rather than after:

Field	What it does
Markup %	A percentage on top of cost.
Overhead & Profit	Your O and P.
Tax %	Tax on the taxable total.
Subtotal	The priced lines before adjustments.
Total	What the document asks for.

Choosing what appears

Not every line belongs on a document sent outside the office:

Coded Only drops anything without a bid item code - usually the working lines you added for your own tracking.
Include in export is a per-item switch for the exceptions.
Merge combines matching lines instead of listing them separately, which is what turns forty drawn areas into one priced row.

Price the job, then look at it as a PDF before sending. The formatted report is the same content the spreadsheet carries, laid out to be read by someone who was not taking it off.
