Exporting a PDF

Writing sheets out with your markups and takeoff on them, editable or flattened.

Document > Export Pages opens the Save PDF dialog. It is the full-control export; File > Save As > PDF… does the same job with the defaults.

What goes in

Pages - the whole set, the Current Page, or Selected Pages. The dialog tells you how many will be exported before you commit.

Output - the important choice:

Annotated (editable) - markups stay as real PDF annotations. The recipient can select, edit and reply to them in any PDF reader.
Flattened (immutable) - markups are painted into the page. Nobody can move or delete them, and the sheet looks the same everywhere.

Send annotated to someone who has to work on it. Send flattened when the sheet is a record.

Include - tick what belongs on the exported sheet:

Item Labels	The labels on materials takeoff drawings.
Layer Labels	Layer names.
Page Info	The sheet's own details.
Versions	Sheet versions.
Branding	Your company branding.

Keep Upright Rotation

Exports the sheets the way up you are looking at them rather than the way up they arrived.

Unavailable for converted projects. A project converted from an older file exports in the source orientation. Re-import the PDF to get rotated export back.
