Managing pages

Adding, exporting and grouping sheets, and the bulk tools that run over all of them.

Document > Manage Pages opens the sheet list: every page in the project with its number, title, description and scale.

Add Pages… brings more sheets into the project.
Export… writes pages back out.

Grouping

Tools > Group Pages… sorts sheets into groups - by discipline, by phase, by whatever the set needs. Two things worth knowing about removing one:

Removing a group keeps its pages. They become ungrouped rather than deleted, and you are warned before it happens.
Merging a group moves its pages into another group and then removes the emptied one.

These run over the whole set rather than one sheet.

Auto Detect > Titles	Reads sheet titles off the title blocks.
Auto Detect > Page Numbers	Reads sheet numbers off the title blocks.
Group Pages…	Sorts sheets into groups.
Load / Reload All Pages	Loads every page, or reloads pages already loaded.
Re-analyze All Pages	Runs the page analysis again across the set.
OCR	Three text-recognition passes. See Page text.

Auto Detect reads the drawing; it does not invent. On a set whose title blocks it cannot read - a scan with no text layer is the usual case - run OCR first and detect afterwards.

Auto Detect and Re-analyze are part of the Advanced feature set. They run the automatic page reading that pulls titles and sheet numbers off the title blocks. OCR, search, and grouping pages by source file or by a title you typed yourself all stay available without it, so a Standard subscription can do everything here by hand. The trial includes the automatic reading in full.
