How takeoff labels are drawn, and what the cursor tells you while you draw.
Labels
The label attached to a takeoff drawing, and the leader that connects it:
Font Color, Border Color, Border Thickness, Border Radius, Padding - the label box.
Leader Line, Line Thickness, Angled Line - the line from label to drawing.
Arrow Size, Arrow Filled, Arrow Offset - its head.
Starting Offset X / Y - where a new label lands relative to its drawing.
Count Arcs - the arcs drawn on count items.
Item Labels and Layer - what the label says.
Set these once and every label follows; they are not per drawing.
Cursor
What rides with the pointer while you are drawing:
Segment Length and Segment Angle - the piece you are placing now.
Total - the run so far.
Unit and Value - the measurement in the item's own unit.
Measurements, Pointer, Line Style, Value Alignment - how much of that is shown, and where.
Turning Total on is what lets you stop a run at a known length without measuring afterwards,
and pairs with typing an exact distance - see
Drawing a measurement.
