A saved signature placed on the sheet, drawn, typed or imported.
The Signature places one of your saved signatures on the sheet: sign a transmittal, initial a
revision, sign off a set, without printing it first.
Place it: click where the signature goes. It places and finishes on that click; there is
nothing to drag and nothing to confirm. It is born upright regardless of page rotation.
Settings
Border: 1 to 10. Sets the frame.
Ink colour: a deep blue by default.
Font size: default 34. Sizes a typed signature.
Your signature library
A saved signature can be made three ways:
Drawn, as freehand strokes on a signature pad, the closest to a wet signature.
Typed, as text in a chosen font: legible and consistent, but obviously typed.
Imported, as an image, which is how a scan of a real signature gets in.
One signature is the default, and that is the one the tool places.
Notes
The library is stored per user on this machine, alongside the app's other settings, not in the project. A signature does not travel with a project file: opening the same project on another computer finds that computer's library.
The default ink is a deep blue rather than black on purpose. It is what separates a signed original from the document's own black linework and from a photocopy of one.
A thin dashed frame is drawn around it at a fixed weight, the same hint the Text Box carries, so an empty or faint signature still has a visible extent to select and move.
