Marker

A medium freehand stroke with square ends, like a felt-tip on a print.

The Marker draws a freehand stroke with square-cut ends, the way a felt-tip marks a printed sheet. It sits between the Pen and the Highlighter: heavy enough to read across a room, solid enough to write with.

Draw it: press, drag, release. The cursor is a circle sized to the stroke.

Settings

• Size: 1 to 30, default 5.
• Colour: the stroke. Default red.
• Opacity: available. This is what lets a marker stroke sit over text and leave it readable.

Notes

• Ends are cut square rather than rounded, so strokes butt together cleanly. Drawing a corner as two strokes gives a sharp join instead of the bulge a rounded end leaves.
